Rentable Area - The rentable area is obtained by adding to the usable area, a pro rata share of all common areas and building services. Common areas and building services include: toilet rooms, ran rooms, janitor closets, corridors, electrical and phone closets, and all vertical penetrations (elevator shafts, pipe shafts, vertical ducts, and stairs). |
| Rentable Area - Single Tenant Floor - The rentable area for a single tenant floor is all of the area within outside walls but not including stairs, fan rooms, janitor and electrical closets, vertical penetrations, or such other rooms not actually available for furnishing or personnel. Toilet rooms within and exclusively serving only that floor shall be included in the rentable area. |
Load Factor - A building's load factor show what percentage of the rentable area is devoted to common areas and building services.
