The covered parking area is typically signed as Reserved Parking and each space is either numbered sequentially or carries the name of the tenant or the tenant’s suite number. When a tenant moves into a building they receive information from their property manager which, among other things, gives the permanent assignment of covered parking spaces for their use. The property manager gives that information to the designated tenant representative, typically the office manager for the business or medical practice, and the office manger will assign those spaces to employees on either a permanent or first come/first serve basis.

However, a new employee or an employee who rotates through several offices will occasionally be unaware of their suite’s covered parking assignments and choose to park in an unoccupied space which is assigned to another suite. Sometimes a client or patient of a tenant will ignore the reserved parking signs and park in an empty assigned covered space while temporarily at the building. If a tenant finds a vehicle consistently parked in their assigned space, they may ask their property manager to put a violation sticker on the offending vehicle and in rare, but not unheard of instances, the vehicle may be towed to an impound lot at the property manager’s direction.

If you are an employee of a tenant who is unsure of whether or not you have an assigned covered parking space please contact your office manager. If you are an office manager and are unsure of the reserved spaces assigned to your suite, please call your property manager during normal business hours at (480) 994-8155. On occasion there may be a covered parking space that is available for lease on a month-to-month basis and your property manager can also help you by renting you that temporary space.
